Tuition Assistance & Scholarships
Don’t let finances hold your children back from a Lourdes Academy education
We are dedicated to making Lourdes Academy—and a Christ-centered education—available to all children, regardless of financial status. There are a variety of financial assistance programs available to make Lourdes Academy tuition affordable for all.
See the options below:
-
Financial Aid & Need Based Scholarships
Need-based scholarships and financial aid can mean the difference between sending your kids to private or public school. Thanks to the generous support of our alumni, community members, and individuals who value Catholic education, Lourdes Academy awarded more than $300,000 in financial aid for the 2020-2021 school year.
All Lourdes Academy families are eligible and encouraged to apply for financial assistance. To apply, please complete the financial aid application available on FACTS.

Wisconsin Parental Choice Program
Lourdes Academy proudly participates in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP), a state-funded program that allows students to attend any participating private school, tuition-free.
How it works:
- Students must reside in a Wisconsin school district.
- Other eligibility criteria must be met
- Lourdes Academy receives a state aid payment for each eligible student.
Our current Lourdes Academy students are eligible (and encouraged) to apply for a voucher when they enter kindergarten, first and ninth grade.
The open application period for the 2021-2022 school year is February 1 - April 15, 2021.

New Family Referral Program - Earn 25% off Tuition!
At Lourdes Academy, we want to thank our current school families for being our biggest cheerleaders. When a new student enrolls thanks to your referral, we’ll give you a 25% student tuition credit for each referral. Learn more about our New Family Referral program here.
-
Scrip Fundraising
Who doesn’t love gift cards? Lourdes Academy offers Scrip—a gift card fundraising program where we purchase gift cards and/or certificates from local and national retailers at a discount. Then, we sell them to you at face value and share the profits (70/30 profit split). The profits (rebates) will be credited to your tuition account. Learn more about Scrip here.

529 Tuition Savings Program (Edvest)
Did you know that you can use your 529 college savings plan (i.e., Edvest) to cover private and/or religious school costs?
To help with private school tuition, individuals can use up to $10,000 of their 529 earnings annually. 529 savings plans also qualify for an annual gift tax exclusion of $15,000 (which means you can use it for your grandchildren too). Earnings on 529 investments are not subject to federal taxes.
Please talk to a tax or investment advisor for more information on how to use your 529 college savings for your child(ren)’s private school expenses.
-
Wisconsin Tax Deductions
Claiming income tax deductions in Wisconsin is an easy way to help offset tuition costs.
Here’s how it works:
Taxpayers can claim private and/or religious school tuition expenses of up to $4,000 for each dependent child in kindergarten through eighth grade AND up to $10,000 for each dependent child in grades nine through 12.
-
Summer Student Employment
Keep your child(ren) busy this summer through our student employment program! Lourdes Academy provides temporary summer employment opportunities for students who are 14 years old or older and are entering 9th-12th grades. Placement will be at one of the following locations:
- Lourdes Academy Elementary School
- Lourdes Academy Middle/High School
The work schedule will begin the first week of summer vacation through approximately the first week in August, Monday through Thursday, with no work the week of July 4.
Note: If you're interested in becoming a student employee, apply early! There are usually only 10-12 openings available each summer.
-
Become a Host Family
If you’re looking for a positive, life-changing experience, become a host family! Becoming a host family for one of our international students allows you to learn more about their culture and experiences. Foreign students also bring along their own insurance, spending money and tuition, and some even offer a monthly stipend or tuition credit for the host family!
